Editor's Review:

The product information about Dog Training Tutor is clear and well presented.  The author is Kobie Lawson, an Australian who came to the United States at the age of 11 where he worked first as a kennel hand and later as a dog trainer.  He has compiled all the most important and most effective advice and information on dog training to use in this e-book.  In itself, it is a similar format to many other products on the market, but it is reassuring to know that the author has a history of working with dogs in a professional capacity.  This is the first guide to dog training that he has produced.

Access to the e-book starts with a $5 trial that lasts seven days.  If you are happy with the product after this period, the remaining $42 will be deducted from your card.  As part of the trial you will receive full access to all three of the bonus products.  These include:

  • Bonus Multimedia Package - Instinct vs Man.  35 minute audio-visual presentation
  • Bonus Book - Secrets to a Healthy and Happy Pooch
  • Bonus Book - How to Spoil Your Dog

The main part of the package, the Dog Training Tutor, covers all the usual topics such as obedience training and behavioral problems.  Lawson claims that his training methods are fast and effective.  The methods used rely on positive reinforcement and understanding dog behavior as a way of communication.  He starts by saying that our dog's bad behavior is not our fault.  With the modern way of teaching dog training it can certainly seem that way sometimes.  Lawson asserts that neither is it the dog's fault - hence the choice of positive rather than negative reinforcement.  The cause of bad dog behavior is rather a lack of effective communication caused by humans communicating with their dogs in a human way, and dogs communicating back in a dog's language, which we do not understand.  He shows us how to read what the dog is thinking by watching its body language and communicating back what we want the dog to know using communication that the dog can understand and relate to.  This way makes for a happier dog training experience, happier every day life and happier and healthier dog.  All the topics in the package are listed in the features list, above, and more such as:

  • Specific proven training methods for housebreaking your dog
  • The pros and cons of all the most popular dog training methods used today
  • The most widely recognized methods of effective and humane correction of unwanted behaviors in your dog

The relatively high cost of this product reflects the amount of material included, and the experience and knowledge it took to complete it.  This is not simply a compilation of information taken from other books, but a comprehensive text in its own right.  This is a high quality product.  The bonus products not only provide a good way of dipping in to the subject, but also help by providing a varied media experience which can help with the learning process. Well worth a look.
